Chartered in 1973 under
Illustrious Bill Kemper, out first elected President was Noble Don Boucher in
1974,
followed by Noble Bill Petrick in 1975, who was the driving force to make the
club what it is today. We are a
unique club, in that, to become a member, a Noble must have traveled the hot
sands of the desert, although
we were formed as a social club of Al Bahr. When chartered, we started out
with nine members, including
officers. At present, we have more than 100 members and more than 25
Honored Ladies.
The club holds various functions throughout the year
and one of the best is out Lost Wages Safari to
Las Vegas or Laughlin, which we make every year. Also, our annual picnic
which is very well attended.
You will always see us at at the various parades,
selling hamburgers, sodas and water from our colorful float.
Several of our members have served as Potentates of Al
Bahr. Also, each year, we present the Camel Award
to a member who has given outstanding service.
Normally on the Second Thursday of
each month.
Call the President for time and location of the meetings.
