The Shrine Club of Rancho
Bernardo was organized in1970. At the time we received our charter from
the
Temple, under Potentate John Cook, our Temple roster listed 95 members, all
living in Rancho Bernardo.
Most of our members still live in Rancho Bernardo, but we still have members
living in Poway, Escondido, Rancho
Penasquitos and the surrounding areas. Our social
activities include six or seven dinner meetings each year with
our wives or significant other, followed by interesting speakers and/or
entertainment. By raffling items donated by
our members, we raise money for the Shriners' Hospitals and the Transportation
Fund. To date, these combined
activities have enabled the Club to contribute over $65,000 to the Al Bahr
Transportation Fund. We are proud of our Club,
our members and their accomplishments. The Shrine Club of Rancho
Bernardo is also proud to be part of Al Bahr Temple
and to share in the greatest of all philanthropies - The Shriners' Hospitals.
All Shriners living in our area are cordially
invited to join our Club and enjoy real Shrine fellowship.
Normally on the Third Thursday of
each month. Garden Party in June.
Call the President for time and location of the meetings and Garden Party.
