The Al Bahr RV Club is open to
any member of Al Bahr Shrine with a self-contained recreational vehicle.
The Clubs 45+ active members meet monthly at outings in local RV parks including
twice yearly at Shrine Camp.
The Club's primary objective is raising funds for the
Al Bahr Shrine Transportation Fund through its
monthly outings and other fund raising activities. Recently, the Club
raised funds for the donation of a van for the
Samaritan Drivers use in transporting children to the Shriners Hospital for
Children in Los Angeles. In addition to the
monthly outings, the club active in supporting other Shrine activities including
parades. Three of the
Club's RV's have taken part in the Cattle Call Parade in Brawley, CA. The
Club is also active in supporting the
other Shrine Club members of the Western Shrine Association of Shrine Campers
(WSASC). Al Bahr hosted the
WSASC in 1999 and the 2007 outing at the Chula Vista RV Resort with
approximately 100 RV's in attendance.
